She was raised in an elegant Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan as part of the family of a Catholic family. In order to avoid this, her parents enrolled at the Convent of the Sacred Heart an eminent and very religious school. The music was her love throughout her early years. She began playing the piano as a child. When she was thirteen she wrote her first piece. She performed at open mic nights. She was a huge fan of Queen Michael Jackson Madonna and David Bowie. After high school, she enrolled at New York University's Tisch School of Art to take music classes. She didn't finish her education, she quit to pursue her musical career.
